Jackson attends brother's funeral, expected to play

September 20, 2008 Jackson has been mourning the death of his brother and attended the funeral for him Saturday.

Kamar Jackson, 29, a father of four, was killed instantly when he was hit by driver Carlos Rodriguez. He was charged with vehicular manslaughter and was under the influence of alcohol, according to Miami Dade police.

Eagles coach Andy Reid gave permission to several of his starting offensive linemen to fly down to Florida for the funeral and miss meetings Saturday night in the team hotel.

Jackson and the teammates who joined him at the funeral will fly back to Philadelphia tonight and are expected to play tomorrow. Jackson is expected to start even after missing full week of practice.
