Safety changes coming to the Boulevard

There's a new multi-million dollar plan to make the notoriously dangerous Roosevelt Boulevard safer. Action News was at City Hall this morning as Mayor Nutter and Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz announced the plan. It includes the addition of dozens of crosswalk timers to let pedestrians know how long they have to get across the road safely.

You will also soon see more electronic speed limit signs and changes to lane crossovers.

Schwartz secured $3-million in federal funding to pay for the changes.
