Lakewood police say foul play is not suspected in the death of 56-year-old William Thomson of Toms River.
Firefighters responding to a report of a car fire on the dealership's lot Wednesday morning found Thomson slumped behind the steering wheel of the burned 1990 Chevrolet Celebrity.
Deputy Chief Michael Mohel of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said an autopsy revealed that Thomson died from smoke inhalation and burns.
