Making strides against breast cancer

October 12, 2008 About five thousand people laced up their sneakers, for the five-mile walk.

It kicked off at 9 this morning. They started at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and continued along Martin Luther King Drive.

The event raises money for Breast Cancer and awareness about the importance of early detection.

Experts predict about 2100 women from Pennsylvania, will die from breast cancer this year alone.
