Sharks, whose four-game winning streak to start the season ended in
Anaheim on Friday night. San Jose struggled to score against goalie
Antero Niittymaki despite a 44-17 shot advantage, but Thornton
collected a puck on the boards and avoided two defenders before
putting it on Boyle's tape for the defenseman's first goal with the
Sharks.
