The rollover occurred because no player matched all the winning numbers from Friday night's $32 million drawing. Those winning numbers were 7, 15, 27, 28, and 31, and the Mega Ball number was 35.
Seven second-prize winners each won $250,000 by matching the five lotto numbers, while another 30 players won $10,000 each by matching four numbers and the mega ball.
The next Mega Millions drawing will be Tuesday night.
The multi-state Mega Millions lottery is played in New Jersey and 11 other states.
