11 families fall victim to fire

The Red Cross is helping 11 families in Delaware County whose apartments were badly damaged during a fire.

Early Sunday morning firefighters rushed to save several people from the roof of a burning apartment building in Sharon Hill.

When they arrived on the 400 Block of Sharon Avenue, firefighters found flames shooting from the first floor windows. People were trapped on the upper floors.

Firefighters were able to get them down from the second floor balcony. Eleven apartments and 3 businesses were damaged in this fire.

So far, no injuries have been reported.
