Pics of brazen bandits released

UPPER DARBY, Pa. - October 20, 2008 Police have the four pegged in at least four retail robberies this month... doughnut shops their favorite target.

Police have released surveillance footage from a robbery in Upper Darby this past Friday on West Chester Pike, just three minutes from the Upper Darby Police Station.

In the video, you can see one of the suspects point a gun at a store clerk, then force her to the ground.

There are four suspects in all.

Police also think the group is responsible for the recent robbery of a Pizza Hut in Upper Darby, and two more Dunkin Donuts robberies in West Philadelphia.

All were hit since October 10th.

Three of the four robberies held in broad daylight, with the bandits escaping in a car.

Police are convinced it's the same quartet each time.

Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said in a press conference Monday, "We gotta get these guys off the street. They're gonna kill somebody. There're no if, ands, or buts about it."

Police need your help in solving these crimes. If you have information you are urged to contact Upper Darby Police at (610) 734-7677.
