Pa. man wants prison over probation

SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) - October 20, 2008 John Doncses, of Pen Argyl, served more than five years in prison for conspiring to distribute more than 1,000 kilograms of marijuana.

He has been on probation since January 2005 and is supposed to stay out of trouble. But he admitted in federal court Friday that he violated probation by pleading guilty to harassing a woman.

U.S. District Judge Richard Caputo didn't want to jail the 58-year-old Doncses. But, at Doncses' request, the judge agreed to imprison him for a month, starting Oct. 31.

Doncses says he just wants to get through the situation and then be free.
