Beginning Nov. 1st, officers in Corpus Christi must keep their tattoos covered.
Some officers don't like the new policy, including those who consider their military tats a badge of honor.
Police Chief Bryan Smith says they're just trying to present a professional image to the public.
But he says he's considering a grandfather clause for those who were tattooed years before the new ban.
