CAPE MAY, N.J. (AP) - October 21, 2008
Colin Clement was one of two people rescued by helicopter from
the 72-foot Robert E. Hayes, which was reported adrift about 14
miles off the Cape May, N.J. coast. The two men were reported to
have no injuries but were transferred to a medical facility as a
precaution.
A boat crew was en route to the location of the Robert E. Hayes
to salvage the boat.
Clement was the captain of the liftboat Russell W. Peterson,
which became disabled in May during rough seas off the coast of
Bethany Beach, Del. One crew member was killed. A Coast Guard
investigation into that incident continues.
