New polls show Obama takes big lead in NJ

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - October 21, 2008 The Democrat is up by 17 points among likely voters surveyed in a Monmouth University/Gannett New Jersey Poll.

Obama leads a Quinnipiac University poll by 23 points among likely voters.

The Monmouth poll finds very few Obama voters are likely to change their minds before Election Day.

In the Quinnipiac poll, Obama has turned around a deficit of support among white voters in the Garden State. He now leads with this group by 6 points.
