Painkiller Abuse - A growing problem in the military

Some of the tens of thousands of servicemen and women injured in Iraq and Afghanistan may have a problem with prescription painkillers.

One of the army's top pain specialists said the number of prescriptions have jumped by 50-percent since the war in Iraq began. And narcotic painkillers are now the most abused drugs in the military.

He said military doctors are relying too much on narcotics to manage pain and not using other, safer methods.
