Philadelphia firefighters say a squatter was the only person in a house that went up in flames early Wednesday morning.

The blaze broke out about 1:30 in the morning at 39th and Brown streets in the Parkside section of the city.

When firefighters arrived they found heavy smoke and flames shooting out of the second floor of the three-story home.

The squatter was not injured.

The Red Cross is finding temporary shelter for her.

Investigators are looking for the cause.
