Everything turns: Phillies to Eagles

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - November 2, 2008 There was the World Series title and then the celebration down Broad, but fans now say the birds are back.

"Fly, Eagles, fly." It's a familiar tune, and now the solo act in Philadelphia.

"It's been a really great run with the Phillies. Really enjoyed it, but the season has changed and I'm ready for football now," Steve Penning of Media, Pa.

2 million people turned out for the parade on Friday, but today's win by the Eagles has given fans another reason to march.

"It's hard to adjust back to baseball because I enjoyed every second of the postseason and the World Series, but I'm adjusting well," Jill Frazier of Mantua said.

Many fans are not yet ready to throw the Phillies gear in the in the closet.

The team has captured the hearts of Philadelphians.

Now, if only the Eagles could follow suit and give Philadelphia another title.

The birds are 5-3 and next up for the birds are the NFC East first place Giants.
