DOVER, Del. (AP) - November 4, 2008
Division of Public Health officials say a 6-year-old child from
New Castle County was confirmed with type B influenza on Friday. A
26-year-old Wilmington resident also has been confirmed with the
flu, with test results on the strain pending.
Since Sept. 28, one-fourth of the 56 lab-confirmed cases of
influenza nationwide were influenza B viruses similar to Delaware's
case.
Recent national reports indicate a low level of influenza
activity across the United States.
