Map and man who got it focus of Fort Dix plot case

CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) - November 4, 2008 That was the central question yesterday as the trial continued.

Prosecutors say defendant Serdar Tatar had a map of the base when he was arrested in May 2007. They argued yesterday that shows the men were taking concrete steps toward attacking the base.

Lawyers for Tatar say their client had the map because his father owned a local pizza shop that frequently delivered food to the base.

Jurors heard tapes in which Tatar nervously tells a paid undercover government informant "I don't know whether you're FBI" when handing over the map.

The recordings do not address what the men planned to do with the map.
