Teenage boy hit by car - Philadelphia News

A teenage boy was critically injured Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle in Philadelphia's Mayfair section. It happened around 6:50 p.m. at Tyson and Rowland Avenues.

Initial reports say the boy, believed to be 15, was thrown over the vehicle, before coming landing on the concrete.

Medics responded and rushed the boy to nearby Frankford Hospital Torresdale division. The boy was said to have unstable vital signs while en route.

Police say the driver in the accident did stop at the scene. There's no word yet if charges will be filed.
