Jim Eberwine says the current storms may cause significant erosion on beaches from Ocean City, Md., to Rehoboth Beach. He says strong rip currents and erosion together can reduce the barrier between the water and the land.
Eberwine advises residents to be prepared for worse weather as winter approaches and be ready for flooding and more erosion.
The storms have been bringing an inch of rain a day but are expected to move out of the region by this weekend.
