Arrest made in 2006 hit and run case

MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J. - November 8, 2008 On Wednesday, November 5, 2008, Joseph F. Bozzelli, 21, and resident of Malaga/ Franklinville, NJ was arrested and charged with the hit and run death of Brian Lilley. .

The fatal accident occurred on Sicklerville Road in Monroe Township on October 12, 2006 at 2:10 a.m. The arrest comes after the Monroe Township Police Department received information from a concerned citizen about the accident.

This information unfolded as the case agent/ traffic officer Mark Burton followed the leads which were presented to him. The Monroe Township Detective Bureau, Franklin Police Department and the New Jersey State Police all took part in the investigation.

Bail has been set at $750,000. Bozzelli is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident, tampering with evidence, and failure to render aid.

Bozzelli was lodged in the Gloucester County Jail after failing to post bail.
