Obama may have to give up his Blackberry

WASHINGTON (AP) - November 17, 2008

Now, he may have to give up another addiction -- his BlackBerry.

During the campaign, candidate Obama would frequently check his BlackBerry for e-mail.

But experts note the electronic device can be tracked, which could be a security concern for the new president.

E-mail can also be subpoenaed by Congress and the courts.

That's why Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton didn't e-mail while in office.

On the other hand, former Clinton press secretary Mike McCurry says Obama will be the president -- and he can carry a Blackberry if he wants.
