Pizza man assaulted, robbed in Newark

NEWARK, Del. - November 19, 2008 Police responded to the unit block of Defoe Circle in Newark around 9:30 last night for the report of a robbery. Upon their arrival they found the 28-year-old victim bleeding from wounds inflicted to his face.

The victim said he had responded to a home on Defoe Circle to deliver a food order. He parked his car and was walking to the front door when he was accosted from the side of the residence by two men. One of the men struck the victim about the face while the other pointed an unknown object at him.

The men proceeded to assault the victim as he relinquished an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspects were last seen fleeing the area on foot. They are described as two black males between the ages of 17-19. The above pictured suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. He stood approximately 5'7", weighs 150 pounds, has wavy short black hair and has "caramel" colored skin. The other suspect stood about 5'6", has a thin build and was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt.
