Police: Bus driver braked to topple pupil

AMBRIDGE, Pa. (AP) - November 21, 2008

Police in Harmony Township, about 25 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, aren't identifying the driver who was upset because the boy would not remain in his seat. Police say the bus driver told the boy "If you do it again, I'll knock you down."

Police say when the boy moved around again, the bus driver hit the brakes and knocked the boy down. Police say a surveillance video shows the boy was knocked to the floor out of camera view. Police say another student was seen flipping over a seat.

The incident in the Ambridge Area School District happened Tuesday. Police expect to file charges by Monday.
