15-year-old charged with attempted rape - Philadelphia News

NORTHERN LIBERTIES - November 23, 2008 The man heard screaming coming from inside a home with its front door open.

He went to the home and yelled, "Is everyone okay?"

The woman inside screamed, "No, call the police".

When police arrived to the home they found a 45-year-old woman suffering from multiple stab wounds and she told the police that someone tried to rape me.

She was transported to the hospital and is listed in critical, but stable condition.

When Special Victims was called out to the scene they were told about the person who was identified.

Special Victims were able to find out about the suspect because they knew him from a prior incident.

He is described as 15-years-old and is known to the neighborhood because he does odd jobs and was hired by the victim.

Detectives went the 15-year-old's house and his father answered the door. The father told police that his son was at the hospital with a hand injury.

Detectives went to the hospital and confronted the 15-year-old and took him into custody.

He is at Special Victims and is being charged with aggravated assault and attempted rape with numerous other charges related to the incident.

Police have also found a large bloody knife in the sewer at 5th and Poplar Streets.

5th and Poplar is located between the victim's and the suspect's homes.
