Bail is set at $200,000 for a man accused of holding a Lakewood family at gunpoint while trying to flee police. Police say two men in the house managed to subdue Trent Small after the 26-year-old forced his way inside after fleeing a motor vehicle stop.

Detective Steve Wexler says Small grabbed a woman who was taking out the trash Saturday. Wexler says he released her after finding her family of six in the house.

The woman called 911 and she and the others fled after the men persuaded Small to go downstairs.

Wexler says the men scuffled with Small, disarmed and restrained him.

Police who were searching for Small arrived and arrested him.
