Barry Manilow is keeping crime down in Fort Lupton, Colorado -- because people want to avoid listening to him.

Fort Lupton Municipal Judge Paul Sacco has been sentencing repeat noise ordinance violators to listening to music they don't like.

That includes Barry Manilow, Barney the Dinosaur, Glenn Close singing opera and "Only You" by The Platters.

Sacco said he started the program when he noticed many repeat offenders would just show up and pay their fine with cash.

He says they should listen to music they don't like.

Video footage of teenagers in the class show them looking bored, and one pointed out they couldn't fall asleep.

What does Sacco think of Barry Manilow?

He says, "I actually don't think Manilow's too bad."
