WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - November 26, 2008

Bank of America spokeswoman Betty Riess confirmed Monday that there will be staffing reductions.

The company, which is based in downtown Wilmington and has operations outside Delaware. In March, the bank said it had about 7,000 employees in the state, including those at credit card services.

Riess would not say how many workers would be cut or where. She did say Bank of America will make some reductions through attrition and not filing open positions.
