Pile-up turns deadly on N.J. Turnpike

CHERRY HILL, N.J. - November 29, 2008 The accident happened at about 9:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike. Officials say the crash in Cherry Hill was triggered when a car heading south on the turnpike crossed the median and drove into the northbound lanes.

Two people were trapped in two separate vehicles, and a third person was treated for minor injuries.

The name of the deceased accident victim has not yet been released.
