Holiday comedy "Four Christmases" debuts at No. 1

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - December 1, 2008

Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn are celebrating "Four Christmases."

Their comedy opens at number-one, with nearly $32 million this weekend and more than 46 million since Wednesday.

It's a virtual tie for second place.

"Bolt" is a hair ahead of "Twilight," with each at around 26 and a half million.

But the rankings could change when the final figures are announced later today.

"Quantum of Solace" was fourth, followed by the debut of "Australia." Overall, Hollywood has plenty to be thankful for this year.

This Thanksgiving weekend is the second best ever.

The top 12 movies took in nearly 224 million dollars -- second only to Thanksgiving in 2000.
