Fire engulfs Chester County barn

PENNSBURY TWP., Pa. - December 7, 2008 The fire started at around 4:00 p.m. at Hobbit Farm on the 1500 block of Fairview Road in Pennsbury Township.

The fire was kept to one alarm but other fire companies did arrive on the scene to assist.

The barn was housing farm equipment.

According to a sign on the premise, Hobbit Farm was established in 1879.

There were no injuries reported.
