15 displaced by West Oak Lane fire

WEST OAK LANE - December 9, 2008 The fire broke out just before 4:00 a.m. on the 6600 block of Cornelius Street.

The building was segmented into a number of apartments and the fire quickly spread through a number of the homes.

Everyone was able to make it out safely.

One firefighter suffered a minor injury. He was taken to Northeast Hospital to be checked out.

It took firefighters about a half hour to place the blaze under control.
