Britain's beer drinkers got some good news yesterday, when the European Parliament decided not to force beer to be sold by the half-liter.
The EU will allow the U.K. to keep using some traditional imperial measurements, such as the pint and mile.
The bill scraps a 2009 deadline for Britain to go all metric.
EU officials say the agreement makes good economic sense in these troubled times.
