Phila. police officer injured

A Philadelphia police officer was taken to the hospital Monday night after a struggle with a drug suspect in Strawberry Mansion. It happened around 8:00 p.m. at 26th Street and Montgomery Avenue.

Police say the officer was trying to apprehend a drug suspect when the officer started suffering from chest pains and a shortness of breath.

He is being treated at Temple University Hospital.

His injuries are not considered life threatening.
