CHESTER CITY - January 20, 2009
Around 11:30 the Chester Fire Department was called out to the 1000 block of Remmington Street. Upon arrival firefighters found the home heavily involved, and quickly struck a second alarm.
Salt trucks were called in because the water they used to fight the fire was turning into ice.
The people from the adjoining homes in the row had to be evacuated.
One firefighter was transported to the hospital with a burn to his knee.
The Red Cross is on the scene to assist with the evacuees.
