Bargain hunting pays off

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - January 26, 2009

Now, she's found it.

McCullen tells the Tennessean newspaper she saw the edge of a gold frame sticking out of a bin at Goodwill's Nashville warehouse.

She spotted a 100-year-old original water color painting worth thousands.

The painting, by the 19th-century artist Ellsworth Woodward, is of a wooden ship at an Italian port.

As of yesterday afternoon, bidding on the Goodwill auction site was up to $6,000 for the water color.
