Service has been restored to a portion of a Philadelphia subway line that had been closed after a teenager apparently committed suicide by jumping in front of a train. Police say a 16-year-old boy was killed around noon Wednesday after jumping in front of a southbound train on the Broad Street subway line. His identity has not been released.

Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority spokesman Gary Fairfax says SEPTA restored service on the Broad Street Line around mid-afternoon.
