Woman found stabbed after fire

A woman was found dead after a fire in the Tioga-Nicetown section of Philadelphia.The fire happened on Friday, March 20th shortly before 6:00 p.m. in a two-story building in the 2100 block of W. Erie Avenue.

When firefighters searched the second floor of the building, the woman was found and taken to Temple Hospital.

She was discovered to have multiple stab wounds, and was pronounced dead.

The cause of the fire was ruled unattended cooking.
