Chief executives of major banks who met with President Barack Obama say they are committed to helping turn around the economy. John Stump of Wells Fargo says "the goal here is to work together."

Obama invited CEOs from the nation's 15 largest banks to the White House on Friday to discuss the economy and other issues. Some of the executives spoke to reporters after the meeting. One CEO said executive compensation was not part of the discussion.

Obama has spoken out against million-dollar compensation packages for executives of banks and other companies that are underperforming.
