According to investigators, the gunman fired 15 rounds.
Lindsey was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead.
They're trying to determine if it may be related to another shooting at 55th and Walnut a week and a half ago. A man was killed in that shooting and Halim's older brother was injured.
Could Halim have been caught up in something he didn't have anything to do with?
His basketball coach at Robeson, Robert Powlen, can't imagine it was anything else.
"Halim was always happy, always in a good mood, very popular, loved to have fun and joke around," Powlen said. "I can't imagine anyone wanting something bad to happen to him," Powlen said.
Powlen says Halim was a talented basketball player and that colleges have had their eye on him since he was in middle school.
Everyone is taking it hard, especially Halim's teammates.
"I talked to his teammates and they're having such a hard time. They loved him," said Powlen.
Besides the wounding of his brother, Action News has learned Lindsey's oldest brother was shot and killed within the past two years.
