Women caught monkey smuggling

Two women now have been ordered to jail for 60 days for smuggling a rheses macaque monkey into the U.S.

Officials charge Gypsy Lawson had drugged the monkey and hid it under her shirt, pretending to be pregnant.

Lawson and her mother were both charged in the case.

Federal prosecutors say the two traveled from Washington state to Bangkok, Thailand, and brought the monkey back home with them on the flight.

In addition to the jail time, the women must serve three years probation.
