HOCKESSIN, Del. - May 26, 2009
Police say the man, Larry D. Greer, 44, was speeding when he pulled out of the
Hickory Hill development onto Mill Creek Road about 3:45 p.m.
Monday and the truck slid off the road, struck a tree and rolled
down the 50-foot embankment.
Police spokesman Cpl. Trinidad Navarro says the truck landed
upright, but sustained significant damage. He says Greer, who
was not wearing a seat belt was pronounced dead at the scene.
Navarro says investigators believe alcohol played a role in the
accident.
