Three West Philadelphia families have been burned out of their homes.

Fire started at about 11:45 on Sunday night in a twin house on the 100 block of North 50th Street.

It then quickly spread to the twin next to the house.

Then powerful flames spitting out of the second and third floors, reached a third house on the street.

Everyone living in the homes managed to get out safely.

It took almost an hour to gain control of the blaze.

There's no word on where the victims are staying.

Investigators are searching for the cause.
