Since April 25th, 4 indecent assaults have been reported to the Philadelphia Police Special Victims Unit. The most recent was Wednesday, July 8, 2009.
In each case, the suspect approaches the victim by coming up from behind and groping them in a Broad Street Subway concourse or stairwell. The attacks all happened between noon and 5 p.m. in South Philadelphia.
Security cameras captured a picture of the suspect. He's described as:
- a black male
- mid to late teens
- thick build
- 6' tall
- medium to dark complexion
Anyone who might have information about the attacker is asked to call the Philadelphia Police.
Investigators are worried that his groping attacks could escalate into even more violent sexual assaults.
