Authorities are looking for a young man who impersonated a police office and pulled over a teenage girl.It happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday in Horsham Township.

Police say the 17-year-old girl was driving on Limekiln Pike when a small, black four-door sedan with a red and white strobe light in the center of the windshield pulled up behind her.

The teen stopped, and the driver of the black car approached her and began talking to her. Police say he kept the girl there for about 20 minutes, and yelled at her the first time she tried to leave.

Police say the suspect asked the girl for her phone number, which she refused to give him.

She eventually drove to the cul-de-sac end of Balmoral Drive and when she returned to Limekiln Pike the subject was gone.

The victim described the man as a white male, 22 or 23 years of age, dark short hair, scruffy beard, 5'08", thin build. He was wearing a dark blue uniform with a badge on the shirt.

The subject did not have a gun belt on and was not wearing a weapon but he did have a set of handcuffs clipped to his pants. The subject never identified himself.

Police are asking if anybody recognizes this man to contact them at 215-643- 3600.
