Man shot by friend in W. Phila.

WEST PHILADELPHIA - August 14, 2009 Authorities say a 43 year-old man and a 65 year-old family friend began arguing, and then physically bumped each other.

The 65 year-old man, who has a permit to carry a gun, pulled the weapon out and fired it in the ground.

The two then bumped again and at that time the 65 year-old man shot the other man in the chest.

The 65 year-old was taken into custody and the weapon was recovered.

The shooting victim is said to be in stable condition at this time.

The identities of those involved have not yet been released.
