Philly man dies days after police chase

PRIMOS, Pa. (AP) - August 17, 2009 Troopers pulled over a car Friday evening near the Tinicum exit of Interstate 95. Police say the passenger, 31-year-old Hakim Jackson, jumped into the driver's seat and tried to flee.

Police say he was shot with a stun gun but fled into the John Heinz Wildlife Refuge, where he was arrested after a struggle. Police say he had several warrants for drug offenses.

Jackson was taken to Crozier Chester Medical Center, where he later died.

Police say the circumstances of his death are under investigation. A hospital spokesman would not comment beyond Jackson's time of death being 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
