Big travel savings coming soon

PHILADELPHIA-August 24, 2009 But when you hear the deals available for late summer and fall, you might start packing your bags. Emily Kaufman, the Travel Mom, says, "Cruising is a wonderful value right now. The cruise industry is offering a promotion called "You Deserve A Cruise" and it's unprecedented low prices."

For Europe 2010 voyages, Regent Seven Seas is offering 2-for-1 savings, free air, free unlimited shore excursions, and an additional thousand-dollar savings per guest, but you must book by September 30th.

Book early on Carnival and if you find a lower rate later - the cruise line will give you a shipboard credit equal to the difference.

Early birds on Holland America get 50% off deposits. No deposit's required for third and fourth guests.

Theme parks and resorts are also offering deals galore for the fall - and the best place to find specials is the internet. Look at the savings for Sea World and Busch Gardens.

"Also when you go to those theme park websites," Kaufman adds, "you can save up to 15% and buy adult tickets at kid prices."

Disney has fall promotions, too: 28% off room rates, a free dining plan with certain packages, plus $400 off a four-night hotel and ticket package. Disney is the parent company of 6abc.

Finally, to fly college students home for breaks and holidays, Kaufman adds that you'll need to make plans early to get the best fares. Peak season will sell out and be more expensive.
