A man had not shown up for work, and a friend had gone to his apartment to check on him. When that person arrived they found the front door open and no one answered calls inside.
Police responded to the residence and found a man and woman dead inside.
Authorities say both suffered apparent gunshot wounds to the upper body.
While the investigation continues, police say residents do not feel alarmed. Both victims are adults who lived in the apartment inside the residence.
Police are withholding names pending notification of next of kin.
