Man killed in attempted robbery

KENSINGTON - September 5, 2009 The victim is identified as 25-year-old man.

The 25-year-old was walking along the 3300 block of Porter Street around 4:30 a.m. Saturday when he was approached by two men who demanded money from him.

The would-be robbers then opened fire on the victim striking him once in the stomach.

He was taken by ambulance to Temple Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made and police continue to investigate.
