5 arrested in home drug bust

WILMINGTON - September 6, 2009 The New Castle County Police Drug Squad has completed a two week investigation with the arrest of five suspects who have been linked to drug dealing at home in the community of North Graylyn Crest. Several appreciative neighbors came out to thank the officers as many indicated they were aware of the illegal activity but felt intimidated by the residents.

On Saturday, officers from the drug squad, mobile enforcement team, and foot patrol responded to a home in the 1900 block of Gravers Lane to execute a search warrant for a resident where drug activity had been documented. As a result of the search of the home, police seized a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia from inside.

The residents of the home were each arrested for felony drug violations (maintaining a dwelling for keeping a controlled substance, conspiracy, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana). The following people were arrested: Sean Taylor, 22, Anthony Taylor, 19, Aamir Taylor, 18, Celeste Taylor, 37, Anthony Jones, 18.

All five have been arraigned and released after posting bail. Celeste Taylor was additionally charged with maintaining a disorderly premise as records indicate police had been called to the home for various complaints a total of 19 times since February 2009. New Castle County Code Enforcement Officers were also dispatched to the home to address code violations.
